Named for the first Postmaster in the area, Jackson Stitt, the community of Stittsville sits immediately southwest of Kanata. It is ideally located for access to many major city centers in Ontario and Quebec: thirty minutes from downtown Ottawa, two and half hours from Montreal, and four hours from Toronto. What began as a small agricultural community, is now a town of over 26,000 people and growing.

This growth has led to increased transportation service and a diverse collection of local businesses.

Despite its exciting growth, at heart Stittsville proudly retains its village spirit.
